 From 2nd December, Brighton and Hove is in the Tier2 area.

We can serve food at the table.  It is "Food", not Drinks...
It means, whoever wants to take seets in the cafe, they need to order "Food".

Only family or people in the same buble can sit at one table. 
Only 6 people can gather at the patio tables.
Keep social distance and use hand sanitiser.

Please wear face covering to enter cafe. We will require to order and wait outside of the cafe if you are not wearing face covering.

Ok, I need to write about OkonomYaki Evening later... now the Japanese Foods you can buy from the cafe.  

I am baking Dorayaki pancakes in this long Autumn Evening. 

Do I use any special tools for Dorayaki? No, I use normal Frying pan, which you can see in any house. Wagashi, except a special tea ceremony’s sweets, were used to be made by mums and grannies. Mochi and Dango don't require any special tools. 

If you have some extra time during this lockdown, please try to bake this Dorayaki pancakes. The freshly baked ones are really nice! You won't be able to resist eating not only one! even though, all are going to be fat around your tummy...

Here comes Lockdown again...

 Sorry for the long wait. Finally, I have time to write here...

October ended with a bit of madness, and when I looked up the sky (as it is lovely weather in the last few days.), The lockdown No.2 in the UK has already started. 

there was a slight expectation, but I could not expect this quick start from the announcement, which was only a few days in advance. 

So, we need to bring R-number into below 1 before 2nd December. In another way, lockdown would not be shifted even after 2nd December if R-number is not going to be below 1??? Or, this lockdown will be shifted in December and the 3rd one is coming after The New Year???

We just don't know anything. 

Although this lockdown started, I really cannot feel anything different, just people are still coming and going... Just one thing, only the Hospitality industries are suffered from this not-so-strict lockdown and cannot see what is coming next. In fact, I was expecting very quiet towns, but I have just experienced the commuting traffic jam as usual on the first day of this lockdown. 

We are now not allowed to serve food in the cafe. Take away is allowed. So, we will do our best to pack the authentic Japanese food and sweets to your home as much as possible. Just for this 4 weeks, yes. 4 weeks. 

The photo above is our very own Mille Crepe. This is baked in this cafe and... sold out as soon as it's displayed on the shelf. I guess you may have more chance to take away this cake. (hopefully available next week.)

We will sell Japanese food ingredients and more. So, you can cook an-an's meal at home, too.
I will list up all the products you can buy from this cafe on the next newsletter.

As the government has announced, the ”Eat Out to Help Out" scheme is starting.

Basically, you can get 50% off of all your bill (up to £10 per person) to Eat in. But it is only from Monday to Wednesdays of August.
It doesn't apply to Take Aways.

In case of an-an, we will serve on china plates and cups to apply for the scheme. We want to think about the finance, but we should think about the environment, too.
