January sweets and events

Wow, I thought I have already published this newsletter in English...
Sorry for the delay.

As I have already announced in some places, I won't be able to have Okonomiyaki Night on Thursdays till the further notice. My condition is still not well enough to push in the evening.
Flue, I believe, gave me a miserable Christmas and New Year period... I ended up getting ant-biotics to concur chest infection.

Instead, I will have the Okonomiyaki Week later this month. So Okonomiyaki can be ordered for lunch.

I have put my resolution "a bit by bit, in my pace", but I haven't managed to get "my pace", yet. I, first, need to find "my pace". It's my first aim this year.

Happy New Year!!! It's the year of rooster...

When  I realised, it is already in 2017.
At the end of the year, my health condition deteriorated and some of you send me a really kind words.
I managed to made all the order of Osechi box, I run out time for making sweets...
Sorry for those came all the way to buy sweets...

So I had two days completely resting time and I feel really refreshed.
Cafe will open from tomorrow, I now making so many sweets to fill up the stock again.

I would like to thank all the friends and staff helping me to go through. Tetsuro went for shopping in London instead me on the Boxing Day. Fumiko cooked the best Kuromame. Nanae came to my home to help me cutting all the veges in decorative shapes on the New Year's Eve Eve. Tomoko managed so well on the busiest day of New Year's Eve at the cafe. I cannot list up enough ...  I really feel how lucky I am.

well, year 2017 started very low, but I hope all the bad bit had completed for this year. It only get better. w

Here is this year's resolution.

"NO Rush. Do things in my pace"

I tend to pack so many thing to do in a very small space of time... and in the end, I need to push my self over the limit to complete all.

This year with people's help, I will carry on making food and sweets with my best quality I can offer.
I decided that I would never push my self too much. If I try to do more than my ability, the quality need to be compromised. I don't want to do that. never.

an-an cafe will be 3 year old in this summer.  It's tempting to start something new, but I should be careful.

Last Summer, an-an was on Japanese TV, but I regret to say the program did not show the real an-an. What I want to keep in an-an cafe... it is "Real Japanese food and welcoming".
There are now so many restaurants offer "infusion food like Japanese" in Brighton City centre. They compromise taste and ingredients to meet British people's taste. But what an-an want to offer is real home cooked meal and comforting sweets, which Japanese want to eat over and over.

A small authentic Japanese cafe run by housewife.

That's an-an.

Hope year 2017 is the good one for all of us. <(_ _)>
Now I need to write the January Newsletter!!!!
